Created in 2012 in the United States, FAIRE is a cultural and educational organization recognized as a public utility. Its status, which allows it to benefit from tax deductions under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, the main component of the United States Federal Tax Code, is being transformed into foundation status. , this thanks to a partnership with a French-American firm (ArkSwan Legal PLLC), a firm specializing in taxation and accounting.
FAIRE facilitates intercultural relations and exchanges between the United States and France through Arts, History, Cultural Heritage, and Education. One of FAIRE's initial missions is to inspire, for American cities who so wish, the become a Sister City to a French city, and to synergize the twinning networks within their respective regions and between the two countries.
Under the impetus of the consulate and the cultural service, FAIRE wishes to broaden its field of action by promoting and facilitating the fundraising of French higher education and research institutions from their French alumni expatriates in the United States.
In a context of the internationalization of universities, FAIRE can not only help them obtain additional resources via American philanthropic mechanisms but also encourage them to further strengthen mobility for the benefit of students (License, Masters, and Doctorate) and teacher-researchers. in France and the United States, as well as the structuring of their partnerships with their American counterparts.
